Full automation is not always practical or cost effective. Partial automation of common components in a repetitive environment can increase productivity while reducing the risk of injury. Such was the case with this tray handling and packing system. Steinmetz provided all basket handling from de-stacking to packing and on to stacking and dolly loading. Ergonomic packing stations were designed, prototyped and tested with production personnel prior to manufacturing.
